Zoom
v2026.09.16.1New features
- A Zoom row on your account page: Auto, 100 %, 125 % or 150 %. The whole game grows together, text, panels and the match map, and the layout stays the same.
- Auto is the default. On a wide monitor (2400 px or wider) the game opens at 125 % by itself; on a laptop or a phone nothing changes.
- A step your window cannot hold is grey with the note "needs a wider window". If you unplug the monitor, the game falls to the biggest step that fits and comes back to your pick when the window is wide again.
- The choice is remembered on this device only, and a new career keeps it. The browser's own zoom (Cmd or Ctrl and +) still works too.
The transfer market
v2026.09.16New features
- The Transfers tab is a real market now. Players change clubs only inside a transfer window: one before the season and one mid-season. The strip at the top says what is open, when Deadline Day comes and what you can still spend. A mark on the tab points you to the Guide.
- The new season starts from the Transfers tab: the season change is the pre-season window's first day.
- List your own players at your price and watch the bids gather; a bid at or above your asking price signs at once. Bid on any player in the pyramid, listed or not. The club answers once with a counter, and the player has a say on wages and on a drop down the tiers.
- Every other club trades by the same rules: one move per window, a war chest that reads rich, comfortable or tight, and deals between clubs that reach you on the wire and in the scene news.
- Deadline Day: in Full, one screen to pick the buyer on every listing and answer an open counter before you close the window. In Casual, what you left unanswered is declined, and one letter names each result.
- History, in the Transfers tab: every finished transfer of your club, season by season, with what you spent and what you made. Switch to Whole pyramid for everyone else's.
- The open beta trailer is on the website: a poster card on the front page and on the Media page that opens the video on YouTube.
Bug fixes
- Saving after each round of a match you play yourself writes only the paused match, not your whole world, so it is much smaller and faster.
- HQ says "no sponsor backs the club yet" in Casual too, so HQ and the League tab agree.
- Roster: a player card's header holds on a phone, and the card's small print is readable again.
- Sign-in: the field you are typing into keeps its focus mark when it shows an error, and errors are read out by screen readers.
Real gun names
v2026.09.14New features
- Guns carry their real names now: Glock, USP, SMG, AK-47, M4A1 and AWP. The match viewer's weapon column reads on one line for every player.
- League tab: club crests sit on the fixture rows and the Upcoming list.
- On the website, the six story blocks on the front page are rewritten so each one opens on a full sentence.
Bug fixes
- Roster: no sideways scroll on phones. The lineup row wraps to two lines on a narrow screen.
Sign-in crash fixed
v2026.09.13.1Bug fixes
- The game crashed with "Something crashed" the moment your club loaded after sign-in. Fixed.
The sponsors
v2026.09.13New features
- Six sponsors back the clubs now, each with its own story, a contact who signs your letters, and a favourite demand it asks for about twice as often. The in-game sponsor logos have changed, and old saves' objective text names the new sponsors.
- Sponsor offers grow with the league: one sponsor in tiers 5 and 4, two offers in tiers 3 and 2, three in tier 1. Compare them on the new offers screen and take one with one press. The pick stands for the season. In Casual an unpicked offer is taken for you on matchday 1; in Full the screen opens when you press play.
- From tier 3 up every club wears its sponsor's word in its tag on the match screens, like `rzr.Merrow`. On a narrow phone the word hides and the tag stays.
- The Game Guide has a new group, The sponsors: how the offers work, and one entry per sponsor. Press the sponsor's mark beside your objectives or on a letter and the Guide opens at that sponsor.
- Training: one button, Auto pick for everyone, sets every player's focus to the pick the game would make.
- On the website, the six marks in the footer lead to the sponsors' Guide page, and the header shows the real logo.
Bug fixes
- The game no longer freezes on matchdays 7 and 12, or when you switch tiers on the League tab. The other leagues' results are now stored and played one matchday at a time.
- The match viewer's map is brighter; the dark wash over it is lighter.
- On the website's Guide pages every entry has air above its heading, and a tag example prints in the tag's own font instead of between backticks.
A faster website
v2026.09.12Bug fixes
- The website loads faster. Moving between Guide, News, Media and Community no longer loads the whole game each time.
- The Play button in the site header keeps its dark label from the first moment. It no longer flips to white.
Casual mode, and a real website
v2026.09.11New features
- Two ways to play: Casual and Full. In Casual the game fills what you leave blank, like an empty training focus, an untagged map plan or an expiring squad contract at season end, and sends you a letter each time. It never touches a choice you made and never spends your money. Full leaves every blank to you. New clubs start in Casual. Switch on your Account page any time.
- HQ opens with one line that says the next thing to do. The League card shows your distance to the promotion line and the matchdays left.
- The tutorial is a third of its old length.
- The website is a real site now: About, Media with six screens of the game, Community, News with a feed, and the whole Game Guide readable before you sign up. FAQ, Privacy, Terms and What's new share the same frame.
- The sign-in screen tells a visitor without a code where to get one.
Bug fixes
- Hiring staff could show "This career was reset or deleted somewhere else", take the money and store nothing. Only one club in the whole game could hold each staff member. Fixed, and the same trap removed from player transfers before it fired.
- Deleting your account also removes your open-beta request, so the same address can join again.
- Player cards in a row line up their attributes, and an attribute row stays one line tall.
The doors open
v2026.09.09New features
- AIMperium is in open beta. Anybody can join from the front page: give a name and a mail address, and your own invite code is mailed to you at once.
- The front page has a Sign in link, so you can get back into your game without hunting for the address.
- Your AI opponents defend better. A defender holding one bombsite now rotates to the matching position on the other when the attack goes there, and the ready-made tactics carry those positions too.
Bug fixes
- A rotate position you drew could send a defender back to the site already left behind, instead of to the one under attack. A position that does not help is now ignored.
- Five player faces lost fine detail: headbands, knitted hats and white streaks came out flat grey. The art is redrawn.
- In the tactics editor, a rotate marker sitting exactly on another player's start could not be grabbed. The marker now wins.
Choose your club
v2026.09.08.1New features
- The screen that starts a new career now tells you what your club pick decides: your name, your crest and your clan tag. Your squad is the same whichever club you take.
- It also says where you begin: tier 3 of 5.
Bug fixes
- That screen used to say "this is not a test" while you were playing a beta test build. The line is gone.
- The button that confirms your club sat below all 41 clubs, so you had to scroll the whole list to press it. It now stays at the bottom of the screen.
Keep the good ones
v2026.09.08New features
- You can keep your best matches in a folder that outlives the season. Up to five, league or cup, each one still watchable with its final score.
- The end screen has a tick to keep the match you just played, right beside Continue.
- Your club's story is two tabs now. Identity is who the club is, with every control. Legacy is the records only, with long lists folded to the newest five.
Bug fixes
- On a phone, the demo folder lost its Watch and Delete buttons. They are back.
- The pictures of the real game on the front page were too small to read on a phone. Each one now shows a smaller part of the screen, at a size you can read. The Playbook reads on a desktop too.
- The front page cut the top and bottom off the map behind the title. The whole map is in frame now.
Straight to the page
v2026.09.07.1Bug fixes
- Links to the privacy notice, the terms and the release history now open the page directly, instead of bouncing through a second address first. Search engines can index those pages again.
A front door made of the real game
v2026.09.07New features
- The front page is new. Everything on it is the running game: a live match behind the title, the squad screen, the Playbook, the tactics editor with a preview that plays, and the scoreboard after a final round.
- The front page now has a shelf of restored HD movies from the scene, each one linked to its own video on the channel.
- There is a terms page, at /terms and /agb. You accept the terms by creating an account.
Bug fixes
- Some ready-made plays worked against themselves. A defender no longer smokes the very doorway they hold, and a rush no longer gathers where the defence can hear it.
- The pages you read, like the privacy notice and the release history, now hold a comfortable line width instead of running the full width of the window.
Polish for the new tactics tab
v2026.09.06.3Bug fixes
- The Playbook no longer lists a tactic as "not in use" while saying it runs by default. It sits in the buy column, with a Tag button.
- The Editor edits one tactic. Map and side are picked in the Playbook. Leaving with unsaved changes now asks first.
- On a phone, the job card and the grenade tray follow the map. The readout and the preview come after.
- The preview's verdict is a big number, and the round's end is in plain words.
- The wait menu lists only teammates who throw. Ready-made plays say what they do.
- On a phone, the list of past releases on the What's new page folds away.
A tactic in a coach's words
v2026.09.06.2New features
- The tactics tab is new. It opens on the Playbook: your maps on the left in your ban order, and for the map you pick, three columns that say which tactic runs on a full buy, a force buy and an eco.
- A tactic is now five jobs, one per role. Open one and read each job on a card beside the map: where it starts, where it walks, what it watches, what it throws.
- Click the empty map to add a stop. Drag a grenade from the tray onto the map and it joins the nearest stop. No more arm-a-button-then-click.
- Under the map, the readout says what your tactic will do: when each player arrives, who is alone, which smoke is gone before the push, who watches what. It changes as you edit.
- Two new moves for the engine. A defender can have a rotate spot for when the team calls the other site. A stop can wait a few seconds, or wait for a teammate's smoke to land.
- Press Preview to watch one real round of your tactic against one of the AI's own plays, fog on, and run ten rounds to see how many you win.
- The Game Guide's tactics pages are rewritten, with new pages for the readout, rotate spots, waits and the preview.
Bug fixes
- Messages from the game now say "I", never "we". There is one developer.
Know your five at a glance
v2026.09.06.1New features
- Each of your five now carries their role above them in the match viewer, drawn in that player's own colour.
- Two players with the same role still tell apart, because the colour says which of your five they are.
- The colours are the ones your five wear on the tactics map, so a mark on the map is the same player as that dot on your plan.
- Rest the mouse on one of your players, or tap them, to read their nickname.
- Your own scoreboard rows carry the same mark, so a row and a player on the map read as one thing.
What's new goes public
v2026.09.06New features
- What's new is now visible directly from the website. Every version sits on one page at aimperium.pro/whats-new, newest first.
Your player gets a real name
v2026.09.05.1Bug fixes
- The player you create on the Your player tab now has a first name and a surname, drawn from the country you pick. The name you type is their nickname, and it sits between the quotes like every other player's.
- That player's first name now follows the gender you choose. Before, a man could arrive with a woman's first name.
- The Game Guide has one entry, "Closing a pop-up", that says how every pop-up closes. Other entries link to it instead of repeating it.
- Escape and a click outside now close the scouting report, the "Create your player" box and the Release box on a player card, the same as every other pop-up.
Finishing a match asks first
v2026.09.05New features
- The control that ends a match early is now called "Finish match now". It used to be the loudest button in the row, which made the one that ends your match look like the one that carries on. The gold now sits on playing the next round.
- Finishing early asks you first, and shows the score so far. There is no way back into a match once it is simulated, so a mis-click used to cost the night.
- If you would rather not be asked, tick "Do not ask me again" in that box. You can switch it back on any time from your Account page.
Bug fixes
- The two best-player badges had a black box baked in behind them. It is gone.
- Escape now closes the buy-the-club box, the rebrand box and the player-detail pop-up, the same as every other pop-up in the game.
Clean edges, and screens that stay put
v2026.09.04.3Bug fixes
- Club crests and player faces had stray wrong-coloured pixels around their edges. The art is clean now.
- A few player faces had small see-through gaps in the hair and headwear. Those are filled in.
- Pointing at a stat no longer makes the page scroll sideways.
- The lineup editor and the roster cards no longer run past the edge of the screen on a tablet.
- A long club name no longer pushes the HQ cards out of the page.
The confirmation link goes to the game
v2026.09.04.2Bug fixes
- The "confirm your address" mail after you create an account now opens the game. It used to drop you on the public front page with no way in.
- The password reset link had the same fault and is fixed with it.
- An expired or already-used link now reaches the sign-in screen and says the link is old, instead of showing the front page.
The manual, written properly
v2026.09.04New features
- The Game Guide is rewritten from front to back. It follows the order you play in, from your first matchday to your last season, and every screen has a page.
- Guide pages link to each other and search by name, so one answer leads to the next.
- The game has a YouTube channel with short films from real matches, restored in high quality. Links sit in the Guide, on your Account card and at the foot of the website.
- Your own player's card now carries a gold border in the Roster, and the tab that holds them is called Your player.
- A new career opens on your HQ, so the first thing you see is your club.
- The game's name is written AIMperium everywhere: in the game, on the website and in the mail.
Bug fixes
- Your PR Manager's sponsor bonus is now really paid. The Staff screen promised it and the club never saw it.
- Small print on the website was too faint to read. The league sizes, the footer and the sign-up form are legible now.
- The players in the website's opening match were drawn too large.
Saves that load, matches that match
v2026.09.03Bug fixes
- Re-watching a finished match now shows the match you actually played. Some re-watches ran a different game and ended on a different score from the one in your league table.
- A rare fault could stop your career loading at all, and the only way out the error screen offered would have deleted it. That fault can no longer happen.
- A second browser tab left open could quietly bring back a career you had just reset. It cannot now, and that tab tells you what happened instead of failing in silence.
The scene finds its voice
v2026.09.02New features
- Your club has a newspaper now. Open it from the News card on your HQ: every result, story and transfer, grouped by matchday, with each day's lead story printed large.
- The scene desk adds up to three lines a matchday about the other clubs in your tier: a long run that breaks, a new leader, an upset, streaks, and late in the season the title race and the drop fight.
- Every AI club has a head coach, and the paper quotes them: one quote a matchday goes to the biggest story. An outstanding player of the matchday gets named too.
- Twice a season the paper checks in on the top division: who holds the top of tier 1, and by how much.
- The strip under the masthead filters the paper: click a word to read only that kind of headline.
- These update notes moved from the Game Guide into your Inbox, pinned above your letters. The envelope counts unseen updates.
- The AI clubs wear new one-word names with real crests, in the style of the scene. A running career keeps the clubs it already knows.
- The feedback form has an Open Discord button, so reports and talk each have their place.
Know their maps before the veto
v2026.09.01New features
- A club's scouting report now lists every map in the season pool, and how strong that club is on each one.
- Each map also shows their played record, so you can see the evidence behind the rating.
- Hire an Analyst and the ratings get sharper. A map a club is clearly good at turns green, a clearly weak one turns red.
A clearer front page
v2026.08.31.2New features
- The list at the foot of the front page is bigger and easier to read, and now names the map veto and match replays.
Bug fixes
- The match behind the front page was zoomed in too far on a phone, so you saw one player's name instead of the map. Fixed.
- The same list said seven maps when there are eight.
At the door
v2026.08.31.1New features
- The two clubs playing behind the front page now wear clan tags, so the first match a visitor ever sees looks like the ones inside the game.
- The invite code box on the sign-up screen is clearer about what a code is and where yours came from.
Your own tag
v2026.08.31New features
- Every club in the league now wears a short tag before its name on match screens. Before, only some had one, and almost none at the top.
- Once you own your club, you can choose a tag for it too, on the Legacy tab.
- You pick one of four styles and the letters are worked out from your club name. A preview shows the finished tag before you commit.
- Your tag is part of the same rebrand as your name, crest and colours, so it costs one fee. Your first rebrand is still free.
- Rename your club later and your tag changes with it, so it always shortens the name you really use.
- The picture on your HQ while you wait for a map is now a ready room with gear and crates, instead of an empty arena.
The map, revealed
v2026.08.30.3New features
- The map veto now shows you a picture of the map you are about to play, right where it names it.
- This update list is now split into new features and fixes, so you can see at a glance what changed.
Tidier numbers
v2026.08.30.2- Morale and fitness on your HQ squad card now read as whole numbers, the way they do on every other screen.
- The player card rounds fitness the same way.
HQ comes alive
v2026.08.30.1- Your league card on HQ now shows five clubs instead of three, and every club carries its last five results as green W and red L squares.
- The money card lays out the whole season: one bar per matchday, money in above the line and money out below, with the net you are on course for underneath.
- The news card always has something to say now. With no unread mail it shows the latest story from the scene, or your sponsor's goal for the season.
- Your starting five get bigger faces on a computer, each with their role under them.
- The next match sits on a picture of the map you play on. Before the map veto decides one, you see an empty arena instead.
HQ, and a way back from anything
v2026.08.30- Your club now opens on HQ: next match, where you stand in the league, unread post and money, all on one screen.
- You can start a new career from the Account page without losing your login, and choose whether to see the tutorial again.
- If a save ever fails to load, there is now a way out from that screen instead of a dead end.
- Boot camp has real venues now, and they change as you climb the tiers.
- Clan tags show beside club names on matchday.
- On the front page, people can now ask for a place in the test.
What's new, actually readable
v2026.08.28.1- The update list in the Guide chopped the newest update into broken bullet fragments. It reads as one clean list now.
Demos, trophies, and a word from the dev
v2026.08.28- Your Inbox can now carry a message from the developer: news lands pinned at the top, counts on the mail badge, and a small ✕ hides a message when you are done with it.
- Match replays are proper demos now: every watchable match titles itself like a classic demo file, and maps wear their old-school de_ names.
- A replay shows your team as it stood on match day: the same five players and the same plays, even if you sold a star or rewrote the playbook since.
- The trophy room got real silverware: 99 unique season cups, sharper club emblems and new MVP badges.
- These notes now live inside the game: a What's new section in the Guide, with a dot on the Guide button when something fresh arrives.
- The top bar keeps all its buttons on a phone.
A ninth map, and one look for all of them
v2026.08.26- There is a new map in the pool: Borgo, a tight hill village of narrow lanes, courtyards and terracotta roofs. It is a defender's map. Taking a site is hard and holding one pays, so plan your entries and expect the retake. Saltworks steps out of the pool to make room. It keeps everything it has and can come back in a later season.
- Every map now shares one look. Venice, Labyrinth and Park were repainted to match the rest, so the whole pool reads as one game instead of several.
- A change to the pool never disturbs a season you are already playing. Your current season keeps its maps to the end, and the new pool takes over when your next season starts.
Your first ten minutes, guided
v2026.08.25- New managers now get a guided first session. A friendly line on the founding screen, small bubbles that point out your squad, your first match and the manager loop, and a short card before your first match that explains how a round is won. Tap a bubble away once and it never comes back, and everything it said can be re-read in the Game Guide.
- Around it, three rough edges got smoothed: the map veto now explains itself step by step, the tactics editor lets you shape a play directly on the map (drag points, insert new ones on a line, clear hover cues), and match watching got simpler. The fog of war now always applies in league and cup matches, with the all-seeing broadcast view reserved for practice scrims.
The doors get a lock
v2026.08.24- AIMperium enters a private test phase. Creating an account now needs an invite code, so only invited testers can join. Signing in to an existing account works as before. Testers also get a Feedback button on every screen: pick Bug, Idea or Other, write a line, send. Your app version, screen and browser ride along automatically, so you never have to describe your setup. The privacy page spells out what is stored and that it is all deleted with your account.
The veto arrives
v2026.08.23- Map choice is now a contest. Before every league matchday, both clubs take turns banning maps until one remains. Set your standing ban list in Tactics, check your squad's strength on every map, and attend the veto ceremony to watch the picks land. The old fixed map rotation is gone.
- Matches now save after every round. You can save and exit mid-match and the game resumes exactly where you left off, even on another device.
- Your account grew up too: you can reset a forgotten password, manage your profile on the new Account page, and delete your account entirely. And if you enjoy the game, the Account page now has a small tip jar.
Women join the league
v2026.08.15- Women now play across the whole pyramid. Roughly half of every new player is a woman, with a name from her own country and her own face, and she is scouted, signed, trained, played, aged and sold exactly like anyone else. Nothing about her is different, and nothing on screen sets her apart. In your own career, you choose who you are.
- The league also draws its players from twenty-four countries instead of twelve, so a squad reads wider while the Nordic, Slavic and Brazilian core stays. Existing careers keep the players they already have; women arrive through your youth intake, rival club signings, and any new career you start.
- Matches are closer. One-sided scorelines are rarer than they were, and a team-mate with money to spare will now buy you a rifle on a full-buy round. Every face in the game is also drawn sharper.
Saltworks, and opponents who throw grenades like they mean it
v2026.08.13- A new battleground joins the rotation: **Saltworks**, an old sea-salt works where the two bombsites play as opposites: site A sits on wide, open evaporation pans the defence reaches first, while site B hides in cramped drying sheds with three tight ways in. The map pool now counts eight.
- Every squad also plays from a **rebuilt playbook**. Every stock play on every map now carries planned grenade throws (smokes on the doorways, fire to cut a rush, a flash before the entry), and AI opponents run the very same playbook, so the other team now uses its utility with a plan instead of on reflex. Alongside the rebuild, map fairness got a full pass with grenades live: every map in the rotation is now held to the same fairness window, and two maps that leaned toward one side were brought back into line. One combat bug is fixed: a player could start two throws from one hand in the same instant.
A brighter welcome, a sharper blast
v2026.08.11- The welcome page got a polish: the arena behind the title shines brighter, the squad panel slowly drifts through your players, and the page now works properly with a keyboard.
- Explosive grenades are rebalanced: damage now falls away much faster from the blast centre, so a grenade rewards a precise throw instead of splashing a whole area. More grenade balance work is under way.
Phone fix, for real this time
v2026.08.09.3- The three screens shown on the front page now render on a phone exactly as they do on a desktop: the player card with all nine skills and their ceilings, the tactics board with its map and side panel, and the live match map.
Phone fix, properly
v2026.08.09.2- The screens shown on the front page now render correctly on a phone. The squad view shows your five with their ratings, the tactics board shows the full map, and the match view shows the round playing out.
Phone fix
v2026.08.09.1- The screenshots on the front page were badly placed on phones. They now sit correctly at any screen size.
A new look, and fire
v2026.08.09- AIMperium looks like a different game. Every screen has been rebuilt on a new design: a near black broadcast palette, condensed type, sharp edges, and one rare yellow that always means "act here". Every number you compare down a column now lines up properly, so a league table or a scoreboard reads at a glance instead of drifting.
- Your tactics can plan a grenade now. Click a route point, pick a grenade, click where it should land, and that player throws it there on reaching the spot. Fire joins the arsenal too: your attackers buy molotovs, your defenders buy incendiaries, and a burning patch of ground denies it to anyone unwilling to walk through flames. A smoke dropped on top puts it out.
- AIMperium also has a front door. There is a public page at the address now, with the game behind it.
Grenades arrive
v2026.08.07- Your squads now buy and throw grenades, and you can watch every one of them. A flashbang blinds anyone who sees it go off: no moving, no shooting, and the next fight is a lost one. An HE grenade breaks open a group holding a corner. Smoke blocks sight both ways, so a cloud can cover a push onto a site, and a defender whose angle it takes away gives it up and falls back deeper.
- The viewer draws all of it (flights, blasts, white-outs and clouds) and marks who is blinded. Grenade kills carry a grenade icon in the match log, and how well a player throws now comes down to the Utility rating.
